Tour of Vietnam: VFP Chapter 160 Spring 2013

                                  Tour of Vietnam  Recently, a group of Vietnam Veterans left the United States to travel back once again to Vietnam. There were thirteen members in the group. Some of the members were anti- war protestor, some where spouses of veterans, and there was one Korean War veteran amongst them.  All of them were affiliated with Veterans for Peace, a national organization started here in Maine. May 7, 1984American veterans of the Vietnam War reached a $180-million out-of-court settlement with seven chemical companies in a class-action suit relating to use of the herbicide Agent Orange in Vietnam. The veterans charged they had suffered injury and illness from exposure to the defoliant used widely in the war to eliminate jungle cover for Vietnamese forces opposing the U.S. military presence.See More
